We have an exciting opportunity for a Release & Transfer Administrator / Coordinator to join the team at HMP Ford, a category D male prison near Arundel.
This role is offered on a 7 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a fantastic new opportunity to join the Recovery team (Substance Misuse) - you can really make this role your own! Transfer & Discharge is a key part of the prisoner journey - ensuring that everything is in place for prisoner release back into the community, or transfer to an alternative prison.
This crucial role will see you building strong links to the community, ensuring a successful release for all patients.
Hours: This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.
Salary: This position is full-time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £27,582 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As our new Release & Transfer Coordinator / Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
* Work as part of the Recovery / Substance Misuse team, ensuring that appropriate referrals are made for patient transfer and release back into the community.
* Work closely with the Recovery Workers on site, and community providers, such as Probation, and Drug & Alcohol Services.
* Ensure that referrals are made and all healthcare information is correct ahead of a prisoner transfer to another site - including keeping patient records and systems up to date.
* Dealing with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone, face to face and via email, delivering a high level service at all times.

* Previous experience within an administrative role / setting.
* Although not essential, any experience in healthcare, or substance misuse would be an advantage.
