About the Role:
The Senior Partner - Head of Energy will play a critical role in shaping and executing the firm's strategic vision for the Energy sector. This high-impact position involves leading a multidisciplinary team and managing complex energy-related legal matters spanning corporate transactions, real estate, litigation, commercial contracts, and employment law. The role offers the opportunity to leverage a strong industry network to enhance client relationships, grow the practice, and solidify the firm's position in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Energy sector strategy to ensure long-term growth and maintain market leadership.
* Client Development & Relationship Management: Drive business development by leveraging your network to attract new clients and foster strong relationships with key energy industry players.
* Legal Expertise & Supervision: Lead on complex legal matters related to energy, including real estate, corporate, disputes, commercial contracts, and employment.
* Team Leadership & Mentoring: Manage and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Business Development & Market Positioning: Increase the profile of the Energy sector through marketing initiatives, thought leadership, and active participation in industry events.
* Cross-Practice Collaboration: Work closely with partners across the firm to provide a seamless and full-service offering for energy clients.
About You:
* Qualified Solicitor/Barrister: At least 10 years PQE with a proven track record in energy-related legal matters.
* Leadership Experience: Experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as a Partner or Senior Counsel within a reputable UK law firm.
* Sector Expertise: Extensive knowledge of energy law, including real estate, corporate, disputes, commercial, and employment.
* Business Development Skills: Strong track record in attracting and retaining clients, with a portable book of business being a distinct advantage.
* Commercial Acumen: Ability to advise clients strategically and commercially, beyond legal considerations.
* Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in managing relationships, both internally and externally.
* Innovation & Collaboration: Passion for embracing technology and new working methods to enhance client service and drive innovation.
