As a Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques like SABR, VMAT, DIBH, TBI and SRS. You’ll work with an experienced team in a friendly environment where your development and well-being matter.

Main duties of the job
* Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.
* Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.
* Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.
* Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.
* Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.
Person specification
* BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
* HCPC registered as Therapeutic Radiographer.
* Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques.
* A general understanding of computerised treatment planning systems.
* Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment during that period.
* Experience and knowledge of all IGRT modalities.
* Evidence of post graduate study.
* Previous NHS experience.
* Previous senior experience.
* Experience of advanced techniques e.g., SABR, SRS, DIBH, TBI, Adaptive RT.
* Evaluation of CBCT images.
* Experience of mentoring/training student radiographers.
