Offshore MCE Technician
Are you an experienced MCE Technician (Major Component Exchange) seeking new opportunities in the offshore wind industry? We are actively looking for skilled technicians with expertise in major component exchange for wind turbines to join our team for offshore projects in the UK and Denmark. Responsibilities:
1. Major Component Exchange: Execute complex maintenance and replacement procedures for major components of wind turbines, such as gearboxes, blades, generators, and hubs.
2. Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and secure manner.
3. Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct technical troubleshooting and fault finding to identify and resolve issues with wind turbine components.
4. Preventive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of wind turbines.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and technical documentation.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and the project team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
* Valid GWO certifications (Basic Safety Training modules - Fire Awareness, First Aid, Manual Handling, Working at Heights) or equivalent.
* Sea Survival and HUET-E-CABS training to ensure offshore safety compliance.
* Proven experience as an MCE Technician, with expertise in major component exchange for wind turbines.
* Sound knowledge of wind turbine systems, components, and troubleshooting procedures.
* Ability to work in challenging offshore environments with adherence to strict safety standards.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualities:
* Additional certifications or training related to offshore wind maintenance or safety.
* Experience with multiple turbine manufacturers and models.
