The Newton Abbot Community Nurse team are recruiting a permanent Band 2 Phlebotomist to work part time (30 hours/week Monday-Friday) in our Health and Well-Being Team.
Working as a Phlebotomist within an integrated team will result in you working across the community, including Community Nursing, Intermediate Care, and Community Matrons.
You will be delivering high-quality care to housebound patients across the Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, and Chudleigh locality, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with primary and secondary care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate an awareness of physical, psycho-social, cultural, and environmental needs of patients and their family/carer when in patient’s homes.
* Obtain high-quality blood samples from patients in the home environment.
* Responsible for planning and organising own day-to-day work tasks and activities within an occasionally unpredictable environment.
* Perform simple nursing procedures after a period of training/supervision from a Registered Nurse.
* Work independently and as part of a team, participating in team development when required.
