The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Commercial team in our London Bridge office. Our commercial team handles a broad range of complex civil litigation and contentious probate work.
You will be employed in the area of civil litigation on a mixed caseload.
* Assisting the team with new client enquiries.
* Drafting Court documents for claims within the County Court and High Court regimes.
* Drafting other correspondence between clients and other solicitors.
* Supporting fee-earners on the full range of contentious probate claims and other civil litigation claims.
* Managing professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties.
* Part of the role will involve supporting fee-earners with their marketing initiatives in line with our business plan.
* Conducting legal research as required.
Person Specification
* The ability to work for several fee-earners.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Aptitude for working under time pressure and to tight timescales within a fast-paced and dynamic litigation team.
* Flexible and proactive approach with a 'can do' attitude.
* Organised and able to prioritise.
* Ability to take responsibility and ownership of your work.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills in all mediums.
* Understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations.
Qualifications
* Degree in Law/CILEx or previous experience of working in a similar role.
* Experience of litigation would be of value.
