Main purpose of job: To support the Electrical Projects and Maintenance Manager and Contracts Manager as a key member of the Electrical team.
Responsible to: Electrical Contracts Manager
Liaison with: All staff
Main tasks of job:
* Apply electrical knowledge in a range of project/planned maintenance/corrective/installation situations using judgements on how to perform in order to achieve quality, cost and time objectives.
* Ensure that priorities are met and resources are utilized to optimum efficiency.
* Working independently ensuring the contract or project task is delivered to specification and cost.
* Analyse and understand technical issues, diagnose, and provide solutions to maximize performance.
* Feedback to team leader and customer, status of project or work so that both are fully aware of the progress to date.
* Liaise and keep customer informed to project a positive and professional image.
* Balance own priorities and workload to ensure customer objectives are achieved and contractual obligations are met.
* Work in a structured and tidy fashion, observing all relevant health and safety legislation and required operating standards.
The Candidate:
* Minimum 3 years' practical experience as an Electrician
* Time served Apprenticeship.
* Delivering at pace and working well under pressure
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Qualifications:
* 18th edition electrical and wiring
* 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing Preferred
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
* AM2 Assessment (or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence.
