There are 3 permanent, full-time posts available, of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 over 7 (including weekend working, early opening, and participation in public holiday rotas).
NHS GGC Pharmacy Services, Preparative Services are seeking 2 Senior Pharmacy Support Workers to join the pharmacy team at the West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The Pharmacy department provides chemotherapy to patients in the north of Glasgow and supports the West of Scotland cancer network.
Main duties:
1. Contribute to the day-to-day running of the pharmacy department by allocating routine duties to Band 2 Pharmacy Support Workers.
2. Participate in environmental monitoring and stock management programmes.
3. Deliver training to Pharmacy Support Workers in conjunction with senior technicians.
4. Supervise and assist with attendance management of Pharmacy Support Workers.
Minimum requirements:
It is essential that you have NVQ level 2 or SVQ level 2, SCQF level 6 qualification or demonstrate to an equivalent level with significant experience of working in a Pharmacy (must complete SCQF level 6 qualification on appointment if not already achieved).
