Job Summary: The Director of HR Technology is responsible for leading the implementation, management, and optimization of the company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Workday. The Director oversees the configuration, maintenance, implementation, and performance of HR technology platforms, ensuring data integrity, system security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Essential Functions and Duties:
1. Lead the RFP process, vendor selection, and management.
2. Map business processes and develop change management plans.
3. Oversee the implementation and post go-live support of HR technology projects.
4. Deliver fully integrated Workday HCM/FM systems in areas such as Recruiting, HR, Benefits, Absence, Payroll, Core Financials, and Expenses.
5. Configure and evaluate HCM configurations, security assignments, and business processes.
6. Conduct End-to-End and User Acceptance testing phases for HCM implementations and new enhancements.
7. Prepare, test, and implement Workday releases and updates.
8. Configure and manage bonus and time off plans.
9. Manage HCM and Payroll design, configuration, validation, E2E testing, payroll parallel, go-live production cutover, and post go-live support transition.
10. Document use cases and perform data mapping.
11. Support and build proof of concept for integration files and test configuration integration.
12. Develop and deliver HCM training for users (admin, managers, employees).
13. Lead resource commitment sessions with business and tech teams for project delivery and support.
14. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and executives, bridging the gap between technical and business teams.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
15. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
16. 10+ years of experience in HRIS, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
17. Demonstrated expertise in Workday implementation, configuration, and management.
18. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
19. Advanced proficiency in Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Time Tracking.
20. Exceptional analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
21. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
22. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
