Our client is a professional body for building engineers in the United Kingdom and overseas. They enable a professional construction sector that works to create better, safer, and more sustainable buildings that enhance people’s lives. They bring together members across the life-cycle of the built environment, specialising in a wide range of disciplines, sharing knowledge, raising standards, and developing professionals.
This role will focus on digital marketing and the delivery of key events, playing a key role in helping to deliver the Association’s digital and events strategy.
Responsibilities
* Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including member communications and e-newsletters, to support company strategy aimed at driving brand awareness, member acquisition, and retention.
* Manage social media platforms and engage with online communities to enhance brand presence, including creating all posts and associated graphics.
* Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic and social media engagement rates to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
* Organise, promote, and host the Association’s webinar series.
* Work with outsourced providers to organise and deliver the Association’s events programme.
* Coordinate the speaker programme with the CEO and Head of Technical Insight.
* Develop effective communication strategies to promote events.
* Maintain an overview of the budget and coordinate event feedback.
* Organise the awarding and promotion of the Association’s award programme.
* Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to enhance marketing strategies across various channels.
* Create digital content including news items, blogs, and press releases to promote key activities.
* Work with graphic designers to develop video content.
* Ensure that marketing and communication activities are delivered in an accurate, consistent, and professional manner.
* Support day-to-day tasks of the marketing and communications team.
* Assist in the delivery of the Association’s strategic goals.

* Knowledge of digital analytics and reporting.
* Experience with social media monitoring tools.
* Familiarity with content management principles.
* Effective project management skills are desirable.
* Self-motivated and proactive approach.
* Familiarity with SEO, email marketing platforms, and social media tools.
* Relevant IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, or Photoshop).
* Ability to influence at a peer group level.
Working Conditions: The role is office-based, but the company has a flexible working policy. Support for studying professional qualifications is provided. Benefits include Aviva Pension (company contributes 6%), annual bonus scheme of up to 10%, and 24 days holiday (offices closed for 3 days over Christmas).
Hours of Work: 35 Hours - Mon-Thurs 9-5pm, Fri 9-4pm.
