Job Description
Duties of a Distillery Engineer in Fife, Scotland:
InchDairnie Distillery, located in Fife, is a young and innovative distillery that produces whisky. The company has developed a unique approach to whisky production, using multi-dimensional methods to deliver complex flavors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance activities of the distillery, ensuring the efficient operation of all assets and equipment. They will also oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with site standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of maintenance activities, prioritizing staff safety
* Efficient management of distillery assets to optimize performance and reliability
* Maintenance of clear communication with teams regarding project activities
* Action as the site champion for change management, driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Liaison with contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with site standards
* Performance of equipment testing and calibration, maintaining accurate records within the CMMS
* Supervision of the installation and commissioning of new equipment
* Update and maintenance of OEM manuals and site P&ID documents
* Oversight of the closure of Planning Permission Consent conditions and securing building warrant sign-offs
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Strong experience in maintenance management and engineering
* Excellent communication and change management skills
* Familiarity with CMMS software and mechanical equipment
* A strong understanding of health and safety protocols
Estimated Salary: Excellent dayshift salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications, estimated at £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on industry standards for a Distillery Engineer in Fife, Scotland.
