The Role: We are looking for an experienced Shift Engineer with Electrical bias to join our Engineering team, this role will be based in our Kinmel, North Wales manufacturing plant. On Offer: Salary of £21.78 per hour plus £2.35 shift allowance (£24.13 per hour) - £52,700 per annum 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off (2 Days and 2 Nights, 4 off - 12 hour shifts) Hourly rate with overtime - Paid monthly The Company: IPN is an innovative, well-established, and award-winning pet food manufacturer, employing over 850 people across our 4 UK manufacturing sites. The Role of Shift Engineer To establish and maintain safe, compliant and effective engineering operations that continually develop the site's asset base by following the Engineering strategy for proactive work whilst responding to breakdowns. Key Responsibilities - Shift Engineer: Perform planned and predictive maintenance of equipment and complete ad hoc repairs in a timely manner and by prioritising works in line with site priorities to ensure that efficient production is maintained Assessing the need for spares by ensuring that the critical spares and spares list is up to date and stock is at the required levels Escalate any issues in a timely manner to the Engineering manager Ensuring a safe environment by conducting all servicing and maintenance activities with minimal risk to employees, products and equipment. Champion safety Using route cause analysis on breakdowns to identify actions and drive completion of actions to prevent re-occurrence Support the energy reduction and sustainability agenda to reduce environmental impacts across the site by ensuring all actions are completed Participate in daily and weekly review sessions to drive the improvement throughout the site. Skills, Experience and Qualifications - Shift Engineer Qualified or time served in Electrical engineering discipline Qualified or time served in Mechanical engineering discipline - desirable Experienced in the use and operation of CMMS Reliability Management expertise (such as FMECA, RCM, Tribology, CBM, TPM) Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) NEBOSH with a sound knowledge of behavioural safety at a site level - desirable Legionella and HACCP awareness - desirable Experience in FMCG - desirable Benefits: Overtime Enhanced maternity/paternity/pawturnity Pension: NEST Employee contributions 5% / Employer contribution 3% - salary sacrifice Other Benefits: Free parking, free electric car charging, discounted products & free hot drinks.
