Outside IR35 – 12 month contract with potential extension
About the role:
NRL are currently recruiting a HSE Specialist on behalf of a leading client in the Transmission and Distribution sector.
Our client are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support on a large scale construction project by leasing with the project management teams to delivering exceptional health and safety management to the site. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of the workforce, with a focus on compliance and safety regulations throughout the project.
As HSE Specialist you will be responsible for the following:
1. Support the project team with the development of Health and Safety plans
2. Understand the clients HSE policies and processes and ensure they are implemented on site
3. Undertake site visits to carry out inspections and audits
4. Work with the HSE manager to develop, implement and monitor conformance with the management systems
5. Assist with onboarding of the project to ensure all site personnel have received inductions and that they all have suitable competencies
6. Provide guidance on the preparation of safe systems of work, risk assessment and method statements
7. Capture and promote good practice
Additional details:
8. Fully office based at the Motherwell office with occasional site visits
9. 8 hours a day Monday to Friday
10. Outside IR35 paid on a LTD basis at £375 a day (option to go PAYE or Umbrella)
11. National Grid person training (Desirable)
Requirements:
12. NEBOSH General certificate (essential)
13. Degree in a construction related subject (Desirable but not essential)
14. Experience in the Transmission and Distribution sector preferably with substations
