Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Manchester

Rate: Up to £32 per hour
Job Purpose:
To assess the needs of adults within the community for equipment and adaptations, helping them to become more independent and remain at home.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will conduct thorough assessments for adults needing equipment and adaptations, develop and execute individualized treatment plans, and recommend and facilitate the provision of equipment and adaptations. You will offer advice and information to service users and their families, collaborating with agencies such as Housing, NHS, and voluntary organizations to achieve optimal outcomes. You need to ensure adaptations meet the assessed needs and providing necessary equipment are key aspects of your role. You will stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy equipment, pursue ongoing professional development, and maintain a professional portfolio.
Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Experience in paediatric occupational therapy is essential, along with strong assessment and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial, as is the capability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will also need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, and a willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
