The successful (female only) applicant for this role will be working collaboratively with the other group facilitator, assessing for, continually reworking and providing a creative, body based group psychotherapy programme for women who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
They will be based at The Briars which has a lovely group room and beautiful grounds and part of a very supportive team.
Main duties of the job
The main duties include:
* Evaluation, assessment for, planning and provision of women's group programme
* Some supervision of staff providing 1:1 support for the programme
* 1:1 support for the existing men's Childhood Sexual Abuse programme
* Some training elements for other staff making referrals

Job responsibilities
The principal purpose of the job is to improve the psychological health & wellbeing of people with a history of childhood sexual abuse.
This will be achieved in this post through undertaking the following areas of responsibility:
1. Carry out consults in specialist area of work with professionals wishing to make referrals, to determine suitability.
2. Undertake independent specialist assessments of individuals and their needs, leading to advice and guidance for individuals and referrers as well as assessment of suitability for specialist interventions and contribute to the development and review of risk management plans with professional colleagues.
3. Design and provide a groupwork model of Psychological Therapy to people with a history of childhood sexual abuse including any individual work that may be a part of that model.
4. Provide clinical supervision where appropriate in highly specialist area.
5. Provide specialist advice and information to service users, their family members and carers.
6. Provide information and training to colleagues within DPT in relation to the model of therapy and the suitability of service users to take part in a model of trauma therapy for people with a history of childhood sexual abuse.
7. To work within professional guidelines.

* Excellent verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work as a member of a clinical team.
* Ability to tolerate ambiguity, and maintain own morale and motivation in challenging service delivery contexts.
Qualifications
Essential
* Psychological Therapists need to be trained to masters level or equivalent in a specific psychological therapy and registered with an appropriate recognised professional body e.g. UKCP, BABCP, BACP or other relevant PSA accredited body Or Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol. or equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society and Registered with HCPC.
* Further training in specialist area
* IT skills

* Experience of working in specialist area
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a wide range of care settings, including community, and in-patient settings.
* Experience, and/or training in diversity awareness and social inequality
* Experience gained during supervised training in working with people with a history of childhood sexual abuse
