Job summary To purpose of this role is to lead a first-class business administration service to Continuing Healthcare Team through the leadership of a team of administrators. Customer service, reputation and professional response are essential to achieve this. The role requires the post holder to support the delivery and development of improved and sustained performance. The post holder will deal with a broad range of complex and sensitive issues and be a key point of contact, interacting with a wide range of staff and customers across the trust and with external partners. They will also be delegated a high level of responsibility to manage their own work and use their initiative taking key decisions within broadly defined administrative policies. The post holder will be required to analyse and present often highly complex and contentious information within the team or to a wider audience. Attention to detail and an understanding of the wider health and social care arena is essential. The post holder will work closely with the clinical leads within the service to ensure that the administration staff are supporting the overall service goal of commissioning Continuing Healthcare, Fast Track and Funded Nursing Care for all eligible clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner. They will also be responsible for ensuring there is improved and then sustained performance across the service, and they will take a proactive role in developing transformation and improvement strategies. Main duties of the job oManagement of all administration Staff within the CHC team. To include ensuring regular 1:1 support, appraisals and performance reviews, and development in line with the administrator's job description. oWorking at all times in line with the local HR Policies and procedures and seeking support from HR and others as required. oEnsure effective liaison and partnership working with key stakeholders. oEnsure the administrative team provide the highest quality of service and meets deadlines for the completion of their tasks. This will ensure the smooth running of the wider CHC service. oMaintain pay and non-pay budgets pertaining to Administration staff and office supplies. oDeal quickly and effectively with expense queries. oFacilitate and support the implementation and development of projects liaising with internal NHS, government and external organisations as appropriate. oSupport project management plans by developing and maintain project management documentation e.g. business case, project plan templates. Manage such systems to ensure the information is accurately recorded and that reporting is developed to facilitate effective ways of presenting outcomes.
