Responsibilities:
1. Provide direct patient care in the theatre setting
2. Assist with surgical procedures and ensure a safe and sterile environment
3. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
4. Monitor patients during surgery
5. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
6. Follow infection prevention control protocols to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections
7. Document patient information accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
1. Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role is preferred
2. Ophthalmology experience would be a huge advantage
3. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles
4. Ability to analyze situations and make critical decisions quickly and effectively
5. Proficiency in infection prevention control measures and maintaining a sterile environment
6. Basic life support certification is required
