Project Manager (Regional Construction Contractor)
Up to £72k + Car / Car allowance + Package
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire
A leading regional contractor is looking to recruit a Project Manager to lead on a £18 million extra care new build project in Bicester.
The company has enjoyed steady growth with a turnover around £100 million, winning numerous awards including the BITC Responsible Business Award and the UKCG Employer of the Year. They incorporate family values and work with a collaborative forward-thinking attitude. The company has recently secured numerous projects and therefore requires a talented Project Manager who can lead from start to finish with the support of a visiting contracts manager.
Their schemes range in value from £5-25 million, with projects averaging around the £10 million mark. Their projects vary in market sector and include: Extra Care, Healthcare, Commercial & Residential.
The Project Manager Role
Ideally, they are looking for an autonomous Project Manager capable of managing construction schemes over the value of £8 million independently, with some healthcare project experience. Main Contractor experience is essential.
As the Project Manager, you will report directly to a visiting Contracts Manager who can offer as much or little support as needed. You will be expected to take overall accountability for a given project and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery with the assistance of a visiting QS to ensure profitability.
This contractor has built strong relationships with several subcontractors across the Midlands, and as Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of these contractors. Typical responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for all health and safety on site.
2. Managing all quality inspections.
3. Excellent communicator.
4. Ability to drive projects forward effectively.
5. Ambitious and driven to achieve tight deadlines.
6. Experience managing projects with a value of £8 million upwards, ideally care homes.
7. Manage cost, quality, and time of the project with minimal support.
Benefits
