Job overview
Integrated Pathology Solutions LLP is an innovative joint-venture pathology service between Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This partnership delivers a high-quality pathology service through collaboration between three Trusts for the benefit of patient and service users.
The Department of Histopathology is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Band 5. It would be advantageous for the successful candidate to have previous experience of working within an NHS Histology Laboratory.
Main duties of the job
The candidate would also be expected to participate and help facilitate other areas of the laboratory including training and audits. This would be in addition to working with the senior team to ensure all aspects of UKAS accreditation are continually fulfilled.
The candidate should be able to help identify improvements and collaborate with colleagues to implement changes across both Airedale and Bradford. The post holder must be willing to rotate to Airedale and Bradford Hospitals.
The Department of Histology is ISO15189:2012 accredited and is also a recognized HCPC / IBMS training laboratory.

Qualifications
* Holds HCPC State Registration
* BSc Biomedical Science or equivalent
* Membership of profession body such as IBMS
Experience
* Discipline specific experience and knowledge
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
* Experience of Pathology IT systems
* Experience of Pathology Quality management systems
* Experience of working in a NHS Histopathology laboratory
