What you'll be doing:
* Production of weekly reporting and month end management accounts to ensure accurate and timely presentation of actual results, forecasts and targets. Prepare and conduct weekly and monthly cost reviews.
* Support the Finance Manager in the delivery of all monthly / weekly reporting. Ensure consistency and compliance with reporting requirements.
* Manage, monitor, interrogate and report on financial KPIs to understand areas of focus for the team.
* Handle internal queries and provide financial support for staff on site.
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
* Be the designated cover for the Accounts Payable manager.
* Help with AP / AR queries when requested.
* Work with the Finance Manager to ensure a smooth close to month end by Work day 5 across the 4 legal entities.
* Preparation & management of the weekly cashflow position and keeping the Finance Manager updated on any key issues or risks.
* Provide support for the FP&A team in preparation for all group entities periodic Financial budgets, Re-Forecasts and insightful analysis as required.
What we're looking for:
* Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA. Desire to complete professional accountancy qualification.
* Inquisitive and methodical engendering confidence.
* Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.
* Attention to detail, with emphasis on validity and accuracy of transactions.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), building partner confidence through regular and clear dialogue.
* Experience resolving reconciling items, establishing root cause together with developing processes to create efficiencies.
* A strong desire to solve problems, coach along with a continuous improvement mind-set.
* Technically up to date with a good understanding of UK reporting standards.
* Good systems experience, ideally XERO or NetSuite.
