Lead and participate in the provision of formal and informal clinical teaching. Manage the clinical skills development and the provision of co-ordinated training and education for all clinical staff throughout the organisation. Collate and provide information to ensure training targets and priorities are being met. Responsible for an identified group of staff, completing individual appraisals and personnel management. To be responsible for meeting the NMC/HCPC requirements and standards of proficiencies in line with the code of professional conduct for their scope of responsibility. Lead a structured competency-based induction and training programme for new staff in the UTCs and MIUs through a system of preceptorship and development of supervisors and assessors providing the necessary learning infra-structure. Co-ordination and planning of study days to support staff professional development. Collate continuous professional development requirements to facilitate role and service needs working collaboratively with the service leads, Department of Professional Healthcare Education and Deputy Chief Nurse. Create a quality learning environment to support all learners. Collaborate with the Clinical Managers within the UTCs/MIUs to identify staff development needs, then design, deliver, identify and organise and audit relevant learning interventions that align with the clinical education strategy and service priorities to enhance patient care, service delivery and employee performance.
