Job Description
* Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored accounting solutions.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* Bookkeeping: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and VAT returns.
* Tax Compliance: Assist clients with tax planning and compliance, including the preparation of corporate tax returns and liaising with HMRC.
* Advisory Services: Provide clients with strategic financial advice to support their business growth and development.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with junior staff, providing guidance and mentoring to support their professional development.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, proactively seeking opportunities to improve processes and services.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
* Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, AAT (QBE also considered)
* Proven experience in a similar role within the Professional Services sector.
* Professional client engagement.
* Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
* Able to support and coach junior team members
