This role involves providing housing-related support to vulnerable individuals, helping them achieve independence and secure long-term accommodation. You'll be looking after 4-6 properties in the Sunderland & Newcastle areas. THE ROLE As a Support Worker, you will deliver tailored support plans and manage housing services for service users to ensure positive outcomes and successful transitions. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing support plans to meet service user needs. Engaging with referral agencies to generate service referrals. Supporting service users with practical tasks and life skills development. Ensuring properties are adequately maintained and re-let promptly. Maximizing rent collection and managing welfare benefit claims. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic service delivery. Adhering to safeguarding and data protection protocols. THE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar support role, working with vulnerable individuals in housing settings. You should demonstrate: Experience managing housing-related support and tenancies. Strong communication and engagement skills with service users. Knowledge of welfare benefits and tenancy management. Ability to collaborate effectively with external agencies. Competency in maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes. THE CONTRACT 35 hours paid, 5 hours lunch unpaid Mon - Fri 0800-2200, Saturdays expected as and when. 3 Month Contract Likely to Extend.
