This is an exciting opportunity to join the Nimbuscare team in the role of Receptionist / Administrative Assistant, to support the Nimbuscare team in the delivery of our services including GP Out of Hours and Community Diagnostics.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients arriving for a face-to-face appointment and will be friendly and welcoming.
You will ensure an efficient and professional reception provision and will work as part of the wider team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Act as the main point of contact for patients & visitors arriving.
2. Report and action facility issues and faults where required.
3. Where appropriate, escalate Health & Safety and facility issues to the General Manager / Assistant General Manager.
4. Support the clinical teams working in our services with basic requests.
5. Manage the waiting room area whilst patients wait to be seen.
6. Interact with patients to provide information, signposting, and advice.
7. Demonstrate a competent level of interpersonal skills.
8. Manage and prioritise own workload.
9. Ensure the clinical rooms are stocked where appropriate.
10. Support the Operational Services Team with routine workload e.g. booking patients into clinics for other contracts / services.
11. Complete any other duties as directed.
12. Complete administrative tasks as directed.

Nimbuscare is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to be a collaborative and agile provider that cares for its people and patients. Nimbuscare is based in York and is owned by all the practices in the city; however, we deliver services over a wider footprint.
We deliver Urgent Care services in collaboration with the hospital and GP practices in York, Scarborough, Whitby, Malton and Selby. We also provide community-based frailty care, focusing on treating people in the community where we can. We aim to shift services into the community where possible, for example, our community diagnostic centres run in partnership with the Acute Trust.

Knowledge and Skills
* Able to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
* Understand and observe strict confidentiality
Qualifications
* Minimum level 2 Maths and English or equivalent (GCSE Grade C or Grade 4 or above)
Other
* Ability to travel across various sites when required.
Experience
* 6 months minimum experience in a similar role
* Experience in working with SystmOne
* Experience of working within the NHS or general practice
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work well under pressure
* Able to work as part of a team
* Able to listen and empathise
* Hardworking and willing
