You should be prepared for an engaging role that involves supporting children and young adults, mostly with additional needs, on their journeys to and from educational institutions. You possess a compassionate nature and the flexibility to be contacted for last-minute or short-term cover commitments. What the Job Involves This role requires you to accompany students, aged 4-25, utilizing Home to School transport services which may include travelling by Minibus or Taxi. You will act as a Passenger Assistant (PA) substitute when regular PAs are unavailable, mostly during early morning and mid-afternoon hours from Monday to Friday. Your involvement is crucial in ensuring a safe and pleasant transportation experience for students with various medical or behavioral needs. While the work schedule is based on relief duty, offering both short-term and potentially longer engagements, you will be compensated for the hours worked. The role includes one day of initial classroom training followed by practical experience alongside a professional PA.
