We are proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage Council, paying all of our employees a minimum of £12.60 per hour; leading and setting standards for good work within the city.
Newcastle City Learning is seeking to recruit Exams Invigilators for the coming exam season and beyond on a casual basis. Candidates must have good spoken and written English as you will not only be supervising the students but may be asked on occasion to act as readers or scribes for students with Special Needs. You will also need to be in good health as you will be spending long periods standing.
The work is paid on an hourly basis and you will be required for a mix of sessions, including mornings, afternoons, and all-day sessions.
The role involves supporting the Exams Coordinator and Exams Officer in the distribution and collection of exam papers, and invigilation of exams, ensuring exam regulations are followed by students. Experience invigilating examinations is not essential as full training will be given.
We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful, we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check for any criminal convictions, a check of police information, and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
