We are looking to appoint a EYFS/KS1 Phase Leader to join our dedicated and supportive team at Clifford Road Primary School. This role is well suited to an experienced Early Years/KS1 practitioner who is looking to take the next step into leadership or an individual with experience leading EYFS/KS1. We are looking to appoint a committed and passionate class teacher and/or leader who will join the Reception/KS1 team forming positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents and uphold the strong, caring ethos and inclusive environment of our friendly and popular school. As phase leader, your role will be to act as the lead professional for Reception and KS1, ensuring outstanding provision is developed and that all staff in the Foundation Stage/KS1 are outstanding practitioners. Your responsibilities will include : Being a part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team Coordinating the resources for teaching and learning within the foundation stage/KS1 in conjunction with the school’s planning and resourcing policy Daily rotas and changes within the foundation/KS1 stage Monitoring behaviour within the foundation/KS1 stage Tracking progress and attainment of learners; co-ordinating interventions Ensuring the availability of advice to all members of the foundation stage for consistency Attending meetings and leading staff CPD as appropriate Acting as line manager for performance management Qualifications and experience We would like to hear from you if you have: EYFS/KS1 experience A proven track record of recent and successful class teaching in EYFS/KS1 Successful experience of teaching the primary curriculum Good understanding of current theory and best practice in teaching and learning, particularly as it relates to achieving high rates of progress of children of primary age Good subject knowledge of core National Curriculum Experience supporting pupils who speak English as an additional language A strong knowledge of the teaching of Early Reading Why join us?
