Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out to the highest possible standard, quickly, safely, and hygienically in accordance with Company Codes of Practice, policies and relevant statutory legislation. Ensure the food safety, integrity & quality of the products.,
* Plans, directs and supervises maintenance activities and technical support to all departments on site
* Implementing and maintaining practices and structures within the relevant departments
* Ensuring the execution of all maintenance / installation requests by the relevant parties are carried out
* To assist in the control of all aspects of a number of allocated areas.
* Safety is the number one priority
* Carry out Maintenance Audits of all departments/areas on site
* Maintenance and repairs of pneumatics, hydraulics
* Optimise plant availability for production
* Ensuring department stock levels are maintained
* Prepares and controls the maintenance budget
* Carry out proactive reviews of all equipment on site and recommend solutions leading to continuous improvement
* Implementing and maintaining all preventative maintenance schedules
* Directs and supervises contractors and vendors for the provision of specialist services
* Dealing with staff issues e.g. performance, discipline, hours and holidays
* Provides the necessary support and guidance to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. Conducts regular audits including risk assessments and safety reviews
* Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations
* Any other associated duties
Self-motivated and able to work in a team
* Problem solving skills to analyse and eliminate root cause and deliver full eradication of failure modes
* Proactive can-do approach to problem solving.
Education / Work Experience:
* Trades Electrician with strong mechanical & hydraulics knowledge
* Previous plant maintenance experience whether in a field or site role
* Experience of working in a food environment
* Have experience of managing a small team of engineers and ordering of parts and rostering workloads to enable PPMs to be completed
* Knowledge in refrigeration would be beneficial but not necessary
