HiDef Aerial Surveying Limited (HiDef) is known for its market leading innovative digital aerial surveys which have been deployed in ten countries. We work on a range of projects from our digital aerial surveys, ornithological and marine mammal statistical analysis and research and development projects in fields such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, often with our sister company BioConsult SH in Germany, Biotope in France, other partners and domain experts.

Quality lies at the heart of HiDef’s services and following a growth of business the company is looking to recruit an Executive Assistant to join our busy Head Office team. This position within the company offers significant opportunities for the right person who will be enthusiastic, methodical, diligent, and an excellent team player with effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Location: this role is based at HiDef’s Head Office in Lillyhall, Cumbria - or at any other location as deemed reasonably necessary. Occasional travel outside of the UK may also be required.
The Role:
The role includes but is not limited to:
1. Providing assistance and support to the Chief Executive, Associate Directors, and the Senior Management Team;
2. Diary management, organising and maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and appointments;
3. Making travel arrangements including booking travel & accommodation;
4. Providing meeting support including attending board meetings, taking notes, preparing agendas, and distributing minutes;
5. Preparing documents, drafting letters, emails, reports, and presentations using PowerPoint;
6. Coordinating, planning and organising events;
7. Handling sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times;
8. Drafting and distributing internal communications;
9. Occasional travel may be required, including outside of the UK;
10. Meeting and greeting visitors where necessary; and
11. Any other responsibilities as the Company may see fit.
The successful candidate will need:
Qualifications
1. GCSEs in Maths and English at grades 9-4.
Skills & Knowledge
1. Self-motivated and resilient with excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive;
2. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients;
3. Efficiently manage your own time ensuring deadlines are met;
4. Ensure accuracy in tasks such as scheduling, document preparation, and correspondence; and
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard administrative practices.
Experience
1. Experience of working in a busy, dynamic office environment would be advantageous.
Benefits / Remuneration:
1. Starting salary £28,000 per annum

4. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week based on Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (with some flexibility available)
