We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Rochdale, starting this April. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and can help maintain a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of regular teaching staff. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring they stay on task and engage with their learning. Provide support to students across a variety of subjects, assisting with the completion of pre-set work. Ensure students understand the instructions provided and maintain discipline in the classroom. Address any behavioural issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment. Foster positive relationships with students and staff. Report any concerns or issues to relevant teaching staff. Support the preparation of classroom resources and materials where needed. About You: Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting, is desirable but not essential. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A flexible, proactive approach to working with students across different age groups and subjects. Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage changing situations with ease. A patient, calm, and supportive attitude toward students. Relevant qualifications or experience in education would be an advantage but are not essential.
