Who You Are We are seeking experienced social workers passionate about mental health and community wellbeing. You have a background in adult mental health with a strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practices and promoting the rights of vulnerable adults. You possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently collate information and write reports meeting legal standards. You are either an Approved Mental Health Professional/Best Interests Assessor or eager to work towards these qualifications with our support. Your understanding of key legislative frameworks, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983, is crucial. What the Job Involves This role involves working within the Bexley Community Mental Health Teams, including the primary care mental health wellbeing hub, ICMP, and HTT. You will be responsible for completing and updating risk assessments, conducting assessments, support planning, reviews, and safeguarding duties in line with the Care Act 2014. You will engage in multidisciplinary work and demonstrate anti-discriminatory practices. Regular line management and clinical supervision will be provided to support your development in mental health social work. You will also be writing reports for legal processes such as Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers Hearings. Additionally, you will be encouraged to expand your expertise as an Approved Mental Health Professional/Best Interests Assessor.
