At Hinkley Point C, we are building two state-of-the-art nuclear reactors, delivering low-carbon electricity to around six million homes. Join us as an Area Engineering Coordinator and take a key role in shaping the future of clean energy.
The Opportunity
As an Area Engineering Coordinator, you will work within NNB’s Engineering Directorate, collaborating closely with the Joint Design Office on-site. You’ll play a crucial role in coordinating engineering disciplines to support construction in your assigned area, managing design deliverables, overseeing configuration control, responding to site queries, and ensuring seamless integration of design changes.

What you’ll be doing
Reviewing design packages and ensuring they are ready for construction.
Managing design changes, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards.
Coordinating interfaces and resolving open points ahead of construction schedules.
Collaborating with design, contractor, and construction teams to maintain technical quality.
Prioritising engineering tasks in line with site requirements.
Managing a small design team and acting as the key contact for a defined plant area scope.
Who you are
* Experience in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical) or Project Management.
* Experience in civil/structural design or mechanical/electrical systems.
* Strong understanding of contract management, NEC, and CDM regulations.
* A proven ability to improve processes, manage stakeholders, and lead teams.
* Site engineering experience and expertise in design change management.
* Familiarity with BIM software (Navisworks, Tekla, Revit) is a plus.
