Hours: Full time Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (including shifts from 8am-4pm, 8am-8pm & 12pm-8pm)

Salary: Competitive dependent upon skills and experience. This position is equivalent to a band 7 in the NHS.
Job Description
We're looking for a Clinical Specialist MRI Radiographer to join our MRI team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC.
The successful candidate will provide a customer-focused high-quality diagnostic Radiography service to our patients and service users across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You should have strong technical MRI knowledge.
The Wellington Hospital is the UK's largest independent hospital with over 260 beds and 1000 employees. All our sites have state-of-the-art MRI scanners, ensuring the highest clinical imaging quality. We have 6 MRI scanners, three 1.5T and three 3T scanners.
We have an iMRI scanning unit with integration with a digital theatre, and we perform advanced neuro scans including functional, perfusion, and spectroscopy. As the gamma knife is based in one of our sites, we do all of the gamma knife planning scans.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Ensure the highest quality of care is provided at all times and provide an effective service as part of the day-to-day operation of the MRI department.
* Carry out a full range of MRI scans to a high standard. Ensure high-quality imaging is provided to our consultants and liaise with relevant radiologists in striving for image optimisation.
* Work closely with the Radiologists and Consultants in setting up policies and protocols for all imaging and patient pathways.
* Adhere to protocols.
* Ensure safety of patients, staff, relatives, and visitors at all times.
* Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and extended days.
* Have good organisational and communication skills.
* Observe patient confidentiality and corporate data protection protocols.
* Always abide by the current Manual Handling, Infection Control, and any other hospital and departmental policies.
* Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Superintendent or Radiology Manager.
* Be able to deputize for area superintendent.
* Occasional rotation across our outpatient facilities in Golders Green (NW11 9PY) and Elstree (WD6 3BS) may be required.
* Liaise with service engineers and bookings team in response to any equipment faults as well as routine servicing, coordinating possible contingency arrangements as part of business continuity.
What You'll Bring:
* HCPC registration.
* Extensive MRI experience.
* High level of understanding regarding clinical governance and protocols relating to MRI.
* Experience within Cardiac scanning is desirable.
