Chartwell is an 8-chair treatment unit delivering SACT and supportive treatments to patients with haematological disorders. Chartwell works alongside Lord North ward, an 18-bedded inpatient haematology ward.
This post will be a rotational post between both units, working a combination of long days, nights, and weekends.
Applicants should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive. The post holder will work as part of the nursing team in supporting the ward manager to run an effective and safe ward. Lord North and Chartwell treat patients throughout their treatment pathway providing individualized, compassionate, and informed care.
You should be able to combine autonomy with teamwork, sensitivity, and professionalism.
You will be expected to adopt a holistic, proactive, and dynamic approach, being responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care and service to the patients. You will, in association with your colleagues, be required to support patients and their carers on all aspects of their care, whether they are newly diagnosed or being treated with palliative intent.
You are required to be SACT Competent to apply for this post.
