The role
The firm is seeking an experienced current HR Manager or newly experienced Senior HR Manager to join its London team of six HR professionals, reporting to the esteemed and long-serving HR Director. This role will primarily focus on providing HR support to the fee-earner population in London, with the potential to expand its scope across the firm's multiple global offices over time.
This role provides broad generalist HR exposure, covering employee relations, business services recruitment, onboarding, and workforce management. Additionally, it involves advisory responsibilities, acting as a strategic business partner to the Director of International Human Resources, the Director of International Operations, and international lawyers.
Some key duties include:
* Provide guidance to attorneys and staff on employee relations and performance management issues.
* Supervise and direct the work of the firm’s London-based Human Resources personnel, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of excellent HR services.
* Partner with the Directors and managers in respect of business support staff hiring and performance management.
* Assist with international immigration requirements and procedures, ensuring that all personnel in the firm’s international offices are and remain legally eligible to work in the jurisdiction(s) in which they are employed.
* Keep updated with relevant labour laws, regulatory changes, HR best practices and legal industry standards to ensure continuation improvement.
What do you need?
* At least 10 years HR generalist experience.
* CIPD certification (ideally).
* Extensive experience effectively supporting employees and handling complex employee relations cases.
* The ability to excel in an extremely fast-paced environment with a varied and pressured workload.
* A passion for working as part of a team including experience supporting team members at all levels.
