Summary ONLY DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. Under the supervision of a radiologist and department leadership, this position competently performs imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner and is responsible for scanning and imaging protocols. The Lead CT Tech is also responsible for resources within the modality such as assuring adequate staff and supplies are scheduled and available to accommodate the needs of scheduled exams. The lead technologist serves as resource for fielding requests and resolving issues as well as assessing and documenting competencies, skills, and regulatory requirements. Minimum Education High School Graduate or equivalent Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program Minimum Work Experience Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience Required Licenses/Certifications Must possess current Vt. state RT license BLS Certification through American Heart Association. Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period, for re-certification and licensure CT certified by ARRT or obtaining (must obtain within one year of employment) Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Knowledge of basic medical equipment (i.e. Oxygen Tank, pulse oximeter, EKG Machines, etc) Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance principles. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stress and conflicting priorities. Strong knowledge of basic computer skills. Pay Range $33.32 - $49.27
