National Road Logistics Development Manager
We are looking for a National Road Logistics Development Manager to complete our team!
Your Role
You will have a dual role with the primary focus of developing business for the road logistics BU. You will spend 50% of your time developing a predefined pipeline of up to 15+/- strategic customers. This role will carry an individual target of turnover and soft targets around following Kuehne + Nagel’s tender management methodology. The other 50% will be acting as the liaison between the KAM / NKAM / GKAM communities and the road business unit stakeholders. You aim to bring visibility and support the development of road logistics opportunities from our global accounts whilst expanding knowledge of KN road products and capabilities in our National & Global Key Account Manager communities.
Your Responsibilities
* Identify and generate new business opportunities from strategic road logistics prospect accounts and Kuehne + Nagel’s Global & National accounts.
* Drive business growth and development in sales, support processes, and provide support at a National level – from business planning to customer interfacing and account tracking.
* Manage RFI’s and RFQ’s using Kuehne + Nagel’s Tender Management Methodology.
* Share knowledge and engage to ensure teams are up-to-date in critical information relating to product activities.
* Collaborate, develop, and support new traffic and product services in close collaboration with all Business Units.
* Regularly report on success, pipeline, and lost opportunities (through Corelog).
* Initiate, support, lead, and facilitate key implementations using Kuehne + Nagel's GCIM Methodology.
* Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
* Be the specialist on the determined route and keep up-to-date on market trends and product developments.
* Manage and maintain your own target customer list covering a minimum of 15 strategic prospect accounts.
* Maintain a pipeline for road logistics opportunities in the CP/GA/DA portfolio assigned to national KAMs.
Your Skills and Experiences
* Proven experience in logistics, especially in a senior sales position.
* Knowledge of the EU Road logistics market.
* Proficiency in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Highly numerate and capable of translating business requirements into commercial approaches.
* Ability to manipulate, interpret, and analyze large volumes of complex internal and external data.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* High levels of attention to detail.
* Influencing and negotiating skills.
