Protocol Education is currently recruiting Psychology graduates to take on the role of Learning Support Assistant across schools in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. This role would be an excellent opportunity for a person who wishes to gain more experience supporting social, emotional, and mental health within the classroom.
This role will require you to be based in a classroom setting. You will also be required to work with children on a one-to-one or small group basis. You need to be empathetic individuals who have a passion for aiding the educational development of SEND children. Teaching Assistants are also responsible for managing behavior to ensure the classroom is a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Requirements
1. DBS / Right to work in the UK.
2. An interest in working with children and SEND children.
3. A patient, trusting, and calm approach.
4. Experience working with children and/or people with SEND is preferable.
Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 support to students.
2. Assist with the daily tasks in the classroom.
3. Behavior management.
4. Create a safe and productive work environment.
