Head of ICT and Business Studies
M1 – UPS3 Plus TLR 2 (£5,500)
We are seeking to appoint a Head of IT & Business Studies to join our school for September 2025, to lead the provision of IT and Business Studies. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic and experienced teachers and will have the ambition to grow the department over time.
We deliver the BTEC Tech Awards (2022 edition) in Creative Media Production and in Enterprise at level 2, BTEC IT and BTEC Business at level 3, GCSE and A-level Computer Science and GCSE and A-level Business Studies. The ability to teach within our range of Business courses is essential and the ability to teach IT / Computer Science would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to develop an inspiring curriculum with enrichment built into its core and to grow the uptake of courses within this already popular department.
The post would suit an exceptional teacher who is looking to take the next step in their career or an existing middle leader with the skills and expertise to help the department on their journey to become outstanding. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and demonstrate excellent teaching and learning in the classroom.
