An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic and supportive team. The successful candidate will work within a paediatric setting, providing high-quality care to children with a variety of physical and neurological conditions. Location: Sutton Contract Type: Full-time (35 hours per week) – Open to part-time applicants Salary: £29-32 per hour (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities: Assess and treat paediatric patients, focusing on improving functional independence and promoting optimal health outcomes. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on thorough assessments and collaborative decision-making. Work with children experiencing a range of conditions, including those requiring acute care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, nurses, and medical staff, to ensure holistic patient care. Deliver interventions for both short-term and long-term rehabilitation, adjusting the approach according to each child’s needs. Maintain accurate and timely patient records and progress reports in line with organisational standards. Support families and caregivers by providing advice on strategies to aid in the child’s rehabilitation and development. Requirements: HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. Experience working in paediatrics, with a background in acute settings. Previous experience working in an oncology setting is highly desirable but not essential. Strong knowledge of paediatric conditions and rehabilitation needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with families. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently. A compassionate and patient-centred approach to care, ensuring the well-being of each child is prioritised.
