You will work 36 hours in The Rowans Respite Unit Supporting Adults with a Learning Disability to provide short breaks and respite care which is person-centred and enables people to be as independent as they can, acknowledging people as individuals with rights, views and opinions.
The Post holder will contribute to the formal assessment of complex needs or service requirements and monitoring the quality and delivery of the service. They will arrange and book respite stays according to the allocation of nights each service yours gets and liaise with cares/Guardians in doing this. They will supervise a small Team that provides the support in the respite unit.

To supervise a team of Key Workers/Link Workers to assess, develop, coordinate and implement support services for Day, Community and Home Support Service users appropriate to individual assessed needs and personal outcomes. You will be part of a team committed to delivering high quality person-centered services based on the principles of self-directed support, 'The keys to life' and Health & Social Care Standards. These supports will be delivered at times that meet the needs of service users and could involve day and evening support, weekends, sleepovers and/or waking nights. Assume responsibilities for the service in the absence of the Manager for short periods.
To contribute to the development of the Service and undertake learning and development which will contribute to effective service delivery.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
