Heating Engineer
Location: RAF Lakenheath
Salary: £42,000 plus Company Van and Fuel Card
Mobile role covering RAF Bases around Lakenheath.
We are currently recruiting for a Heating Engineer to service commercial oil boilers on RAF Lakenheath, RAF Feltwell, and Mildenhall as required.
Working in a team of engineers, you will be undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on commercial oil boilers. You will sign in at base and then go onto your work tasks using your assigned work van. You will be responding to any planned or reactive tasks that will be scheduled up to a week in advance for you by our team of schedulers. You will also be ensuring that all boilers are maintained in accordance with O&M manuals and completing report sheets to ensure everything is compliant and recorded.
This role will see you carry out reactive repairs/callouts on mission-critical assets in a timely manner, which will involve participating in an on-call rota to cover emergency callouts during non-core hours.

To be a successful Heating Engineer:
1. It is essential that you hold a Recognized Mechanical/Engineering Apprenticeship - HNC, ONC, City & Guilds, or have equivalent experience.
2. You will need experience maintaining commercial oil-fired boilers and experience working on commercial heating systems, along with previous experience of oil and gas systems or multi-discipline maintenance.
3. You will also have experience and knowledge of health and safety legislation and be familiar with the use of Building Management Systems, and be able to read schematic and circuit diagrams.
Desirable:
Experience of operating within either an MOD or Construction/Property Maintenance environment.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
