Job Vacancies – Subject teachers in Geography, History, Music and Computer Science (part-time, KS3&4)
About Emmaus School:
Our aim is to enable children to achieve academic and vocational success, in an affordable, caring, family-oriented Christian environment, through which they also develop Godly character and understanding of a Biblical worldview. We offer small class sizes, responsive pupils, welcoming colleagues and support to deliver high quality, Biblically informed education. We teach children from Reception to Year 11, when they sit GCSEs in a wide range of subjects.
Our vacancies:
Due to two long-standing staff members leaving to embark on new ventures (including full-time Christian ministry), we have vacancies in our Senior School Department in a number of subjects: Geography, History, Computer Science and Music at Key Stages 3&4. Teaching hours are in the region of 6 hours per week per subject (except Music which is currently one hour per week), plus PPA time. We are open to individuals covering one or more of these subjects.
We are looking for committed Christians with:
* teaching skills and experience (QTS is not essential as training can be provided)
* an education and work background relevant to teaching the above subjects at KS3&4
* excellent organisational and communication skills
* good IT skills
* the ability to work autonomously and be a good team-player
* an enthusiastic, trustworthy and positive disposition
* a commitment to education within a Biblical worldview.
