The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in regulatory economics, competition policy, and financial reporting, particularly in a UK context.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead economic analysis and support regulatory reform initiatives
* Conduct margin squeeze tests and assess competition within regulated sectors
* Collaborate on regulatory financial reporting and ensure compliance with industry regulations
* Provide strategic insights to shape the regulatory environment and industry standards
* Work closely with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to drive policy development and economic assessments
Requirements
* A degree in Economics (post grad desirable)
* Prior experience working in a regulatory body or with competition authorities
* Expertise in competition policy, regulatory reforms, and margin squeeze tests
* Strong understanding of regulatory financial concepts and economic modelling
* Experience with UK regulatory and competition economics (ideally within a regulated industry)
* Right to work in the UK
