Job Purpose To perform Technical Asset Management services across a number of renewable energy assets (i.e. wind farms, solar farm, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESSS)) in accordance with the Asset Management Agreement (AMA). Organisational Context The Technical Asset Manager (TAM) shall be responsible for carrying out Technical Asset Management of a number of renewable energy assets (i.e. wind farms, solar farm, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESSS)). The TAM shall interface with other parts of the RES UK&I AM team and external stakeholders as required to carry out their duties; key interfaces include: RES Senior Asset Manager - The TAM shall report to a Senior Asset Manager (SAM) who may have overall accountability for a larger portfolio of assets. The TAM shall work independently where possible and escalate issues where necessary. RES Site Management Team - The TAM shall cooperate with the RES Site Management team as required to fulfil Technical Asset Management obligations (e.g. site inspections, works supervision, contractor compliance inspections etc) RES Commercial AM Team - The TAM shall collaborate with RES Contract Managers as necessary to help fulfil any commercial AM obligations (e.g. contractor procurement and dispute resolution) RES Financial AM Team - The TAM shall collaborate with RES Financial Management (FM) team as necessary to help fulfil any FM obligations (e.g. budget setting, invoice checking etc) O&M Maintenance Contractors - The TAM shall work closely with different maintenance contractors across the asset External Stakeholders - The TAM shall be primary contact point for key external stakeholders (e.g. landowners, members of pubic etc) The TAM shall be highly visible role within RES and wider community to help ensure compliance and promote optimal asset performance. Key Accountabilities The TAM shall be responsible for the following: Technical Asset Management - The TAM shall be responsible for ensuring that all Technical Asset Management obligations under the RES AMA are completed in timely and efficient manner Compliance Management - The TAM shall ensure that all operating assets adhere to statutory requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental performance and operating in compliance with key project agreements (e.g. Lease, Planning Consent, Grid Connection Agreement etc) Contractor Management - The TAM shall be responsible for managing various service providers (e.g. O&M contractors) on the renewable energy asset. The TAM shall be responsible for working closely with such service providers to ensure they perform their contracted tasks in safe and efficient manner. Performance management - The TAM shall have oversight of the technical performance of the asset. The TAM shall be responsible for reviewing O&M contactor performance reports and verifying contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (e.g. site production availability, performance ratio etc). The TAM shall seek out and implement opportunities to optimise the technical performance of the asset where possible. Reporting - The TAM shall be responsible for producing asset performance reports in accordance with the AM contract Stakeholder Management - The TAM shall be the primary point of contact for the landowner and any other external stakeholders (e.g. local authorities, members of the public) and managing they key relationships Knowledge Understanding of technical operations of Renewable Energy Assets Health and safety management systems Quality and environmental management systems Work control procedures, all in the context of operational renewable energy assets.
