As the General Hand at DisplayWise, you will be a valued member of our friendly and supportive team whilst receiving continuous on-the-job training to progress into the machinist role. Like all our staff, you will be offered support, guidance and encouragement to develop your long-term career while working on the latest Biesse technology including nesting and edge banding machinery.
Exceptional growth of the business means we are now looking for a General Hand reporting to the Production Foreman. You will be trained and become integral to the success of the operation of the business. Standard factory hours are 07:00 am – 15:00 pm with overtime available and the opportunity to be flexible with hours.
Responsibilities and Tasks
1. Operating a CNC and Edge Bander simultaneously working with veneers, solid timbers, laminates and composite boards
2. General Warehouse duties including wrapping & packing, assistance of trades etc.
3. Managing work flow and effectively communicating
4. Maintaining the machinery maintenance & service schedules
5. Maintaining excellent presentation of the machinery and respective areas
Duties
1. Load and unload machinery and routers – Forklift licence would be highly regarded
2. Create files and cut lists as required – Using various software packages with training
3. Check files for accuracy and efficiency
4. Ability to prioritise tasks and communicate at every level
5. Assist with General Warehouse and Production duties as required
