2nd Line IT Support Engineer – Up to £35,000 + progression potential
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent, WFH – (37.5 hours – on weekly rota between 8:00am – 5:30pm)
SALARY: £30,000 – £35,000
LOCATION: Work From Home – Must be within 20 miles of Littlehampton, West Sussex
Fentons Business IT Solutions is a leading Managed IT Service Provider in Sussex. We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support engineer to join our team of experienced IT professionals.
The role requires excellent customer service skills, along with strong technical, organisational and communication skills. We are looking for someone with the drive and determination to help support our growing client base.

Responsibilities
* Provide first-class remote, on-site and telephone-based IT support to business customers
* Perform a range of IT initiatives and projects, giving premium customer service
* Perform regular maintenance and support of client networks, equipment, software and services
* Record accurate documentation and time recording of activities performed
* Be responsible for 1st and 2nd Line escalations from other engineers in the team
* Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and monitored, ensuring tickets are always kept up to date
* Traveling to and from client sites as required
* Working a weekly rota between 8:00am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday
Job requirements
* Excellent customer service and telephone manner
* Minimum 3 years of IT support experience in a multi-client, MSP environment
* The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
* Microsoft qualification preferable
* Passion to develop for IT technology and solutions
* Confident decision making
* Strong multitasking capabilities and time management
* Strong server, cloud, desktop and networking skills
* Strong team collaboration and use of own initiative
* Must have own reliable transport
Essential requirements
* Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Expert Microsoft 365 skills – Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune and Entra ID
* Microsoft Azure support and administration
* Windows Server 2022 troubleshooting experience
* Windows 11 setup and troubleshooting experience
* Knowledge of supporting and configuring Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, Group Policy and RDS
* Knowledge of supporting and configuring VPN’s, Routing, Switches and Firewalls
* VoIP setup and troubleshooting experience
* Experience of RMM tools and backup solutions
* Experience of Autotask or similar MSP PSA services
* Full UK driving license
