Job Description
Willo Education is working closely with a large Primary School in the Hodge Hill area to seek two experienced, dedicated, and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants on a full-time and long-term basis. In the mornings, you will work closely with children in Year 1 and Year 2 who have autism, keeping them engaged with their lessons and providing any additional support they might need to help with their learning and development. In the afternoons, you will work 1:1 with two little girls who have autism and Down syndrome. This role can be challenging, and we are looking for someone who has patience, experience, and the ability to help them engage in their learning. Personal care may also be needed. This is a rewarding opportunity to create a positive impact on young children’s lives, regardless of their differences and abilities. This position is long-term and full-time, with the view to move through the key stages with the children. About You
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting children with SEN.
2. Has excellent communication skills.
3. Can remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
4. Is willing to provide personal care if needed.
5. Has experience working 1:1 with children who have SEN.
To Apply
You will need:
1. Right to work in the UK.
2. Two sufficient references.
3. Level 2 or 3 in childcare or equivalent.
4. Up-to-date DBS (preferably on the update system or willingness to apply for a new one).
5. Proof of previous work history.
6. Have been employed directly by a school in previous roles.
