Registered Manager - Residential Children's Home
* Location: Romford
* Job Type: Full-time
* Salary: Circa £60,000 PA
We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead and manage a Residential Children's Home, ensuring high-quality care and outcomes for the children placed with us. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the therapeutic ethos of the home and striving to achieve an "Outstanding" rating under the Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted Regulatory framework.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee the management of services including staff management, care and placement planning, safeguarding, and monitoring overall quality and compliance.
* Ensure adherence to the home's Statement of Purpose and full implementation of statutory and organizational policies.
* Provide inspirational leadership, promoting a culture of high standards, equality, and diversity.
* Ensure individual care and planning for each child is child-focused and meets their long-term needs.
* Manage and oversee the integration and transition plans for children moving to the home.
* Maintain outstanding partnership relationships with all stakeholders and ensure regular engagement with multi-agency professionals.
* Consider referrals and conduct comprehensive impact risk assessments for potential placements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing personal development.
* Previous experience in a deputy manager or registered manager role within a Residential Children’s Care setting.
* Extensive knowledge of Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, Children’s Act 1989, and other relevant legislation.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
* Experience working with children, young people, and their families in a residential setting.6
