Job Description
The Duties...
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Manage new business and growth accounts to achieve the sales order and revenue targets.
2. Build and manage an opportunity funnel to achieve those targets.
3. Strategically execute your own and the company's tactics to build that funnel through focused customer calls and contacts - cold calls and account management for new business.
4. Manage incoming sales leads and nurture to conversion.
5. Strategic outbound prospecting for new business.
6. Deliver up-to-date technical product updates to new and existing customers.
7. Actively implement sales campaigns at the guidance of the marketing and communication teams or self-directed.
8. Adhere to standard methodologies for tracking, recording and documenting relevant commercial intelligence in our CRM (SFDC).
What We're Looking For...
A BSc degree and/or Masters (preferably in Life Sciences, genetics, and genomics). A PhD may be advantageous but isn't required for the role. You'll have prior sales experience, preferably inside sales, and have worked with research/life science customers. Knowledge of CRM systems is essential. Swedish language skills and population genetics experience are also highly sought after.
You will understand current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications, possess strong communication and influencing skills, and have knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market.
You will be an excellent team player and able to build positive relationships with others. Ideally, you have experience of working in a distributed team, and you're comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
You have a positive approach with a can-do mindset and can use your initiative as well as exercise good judgement and tact.
